And so it goes

Happy Birthday to !

Today is the day they re-enrole the medical insurance. And there are meetings all day to explain the new system. I could give a shit, all I want is for good coverage for me and my family. Same service, higher cost seems to be there theme from others who have hear the pitch. Self financing is looking better and better.

So I need to find a way to make some actual Not That Guy Sales. So I’m goig to give one last shot at banner ads, and *MAYBE* a print ad in a comic, and if we get nothing…well, I dunno. At least I can write it off next year.

Suggestions for promos welcome.

And I found where the big issue in in the taxes – State of NC doesn’t adjust for inflation or somesuch the way the Feds do, so they require you to *ADD BACK* for personal deductions and adjust that way. Basically, if I got the deductions I have in Fed Space I’d get money back. But I don’t, and my State taxable income is 5-10K higher than my Fed Taxable income and I’m screwed. *GRR*

Add to that I owe the county $2 & change for a vehicle tax I didn’t knwo I had a late fee for and I’m all kinds of pissed off at the system,

Now that all that is out of my system, it’s time for Bali Hai with Sami. Hell Yeah.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

that would do it. nc is downright stingy compared to the feds. there is only one thing that i can think of to save you. that is if you don’t itemize on your federal return, you can put your charitable deductions straight onto the state. it’s unlikely that’s going to make that much difference. at this point, about all you can do is adjust your nc-4 to show less allowances/have more taken out each paycheck.
