Just another day at Red Hat

Facilities has already been in my cube telling me to mvoe my stuff theyr’e gonna re-work my cube today with me in it. I’m all kinds of WTF, and not until my new space is ready. I can see there’s gonna be a management issue with this.

And now they’re telling us that theyr’e gonna change the payout plan again, based on an annual goal, which menas payouts can change drastically this year. Of course, they can’t keep a working plan the same. So we’ll see how that goes.

Gar, I hate monday meetings.

    Gah.

    If they offer deferred comp just be sure to require they match funds in successive years. If they are going to put off paying you lump (like a broker) they should know that the goal is mutual benefits to company -and- worker.

    i.e. if you defer $10 to year two then they should be paying you $10 in year two and $2.50-$10 in year three based on the deferred $10 from year one — regardless of your employment status with the company in year three or as a lump payment for the complete deferred amount less extensions prorated at the time of termination.

    Mondays ROCK, man, don’t you know? LOL I just sat/wasted 45 minutes waiting for an important meeting only to find out the fuckhole was still in Filthadelphia, and never bothered to cancel.

    But seriously, if you can get through today, the rest of the week is all downhill gliding. :) That’s what’s keeping me going.

    We’ll see how they break it up. Right now, I think they only deffered comp is if you sell a 3-year deal, and then you get paid for years 2 & 3 at the ontract anniversary.

    I’d be lucky as hell to get the termination clause, as all such clauses so far ahve read “if you leave, you only get paid for what you earned to that point” – I think, therefore, that they don’t pay you for year 2 unless you are here to collect year 2, and no advance payments on monnies not yet recieved from the customer will be made.

    Of course, we’re a sales org w/out a draw as well.

    Uh…I was out today and don’t attend the Inside Sales meetings………is this payout plan for ALL sales or just IS?

    I guess I should ask Mr. Ziouani.
