The DVD in the Van is evil

New DVD player is installed int he van. Unfortunately, the problems with the monitor persist. I know where the problem is, I just have to have the right screwdriver to fix it. Probably tomorrow.

I need to remount it as well, with some form of epoxy or similar to bond the head liner back to the ceiling of the van. Dunno how I’m going to do this, really, without having to take the whole head liner out. Bleck. Bodywork and interiors suck.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

…an in-dash CD player, except with a screen that hangs fomr the ceiling. Doesnt’ do me squat for good but the kids dig it on the long drives.

  3. edeniell says:

at least you’re not watching it while driving. ;)

  4. alchemist says:

True that. And then there are the stories starting to hit about kidless people watching porn while driving.

And yes, other drivers *CAN* see the picture through the windows….

  5. edeniell says:

i’ve heard about people actually watching while they;re driving, which is why i asked..

  6. alchemist says:

It’s not legal, but some people do it. It’s INSANE, if you asked me. Need to pay attention to I-40 durring rush hour, you know?

    defensive driving is a must.

it takes a while to learn this, for some. like me. but i made it through the insane-driving teenage years. ;)
