Spencer was fun. The Train museum is amazing. Jake *LOVED* the big engines. So did I, for that matter. :)

Riding on Thomas was fun, but J, as usual, didn’t want to get too close to him. I suppose Thomas is more interesting when he’s not 15 feet tall or something. My Baby niece, though, wasn’t put off by anything. She was disgustingly cute.

Not cute enough to consider another child, though.

Stopped at BBQ&Ribs on the way home. I love their smoked pork ribs. Ate a full rack, too. Renee just had BBQ, and there’s plenty of that left over for lunches & dinner tonight.

OK, enough babble. I should do something useful this morning…or just be lazy and read my book some more…

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Glad the trip to Spencer was successful! Did you get to see the “Shay” steam locomotive in action?

Seems like it was a beautiful weekend to be outside watching trains…

and it was something else. The one that impressed me was the really big steam engine they have in the roundhouse. That was a most amazing and beautiful engine. Too bad it’s not running…
