Craving

I have a craving for Pittsburgh Chipped Ham. Of course, the proper saucefor this is only avialable from Isley’s *IN* Pittsburgh, and damn if I can find online ordering for it.

I may resort to the online recipies, but they really don’t sound like they’ll taste right.

Ah well, tomorrow is another day…

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Um….Pittsburg? Or Pittsburgh? For OG Pennsylvanians and lifelong Steelers fans like myself (Iron City, the only beer for Sundays….or the beer only for Sundays, given the taste), there’s a very big difference.

Spelling fixed. you know I have issues with that sort of thing. As in, I always fuck it up.

You know, Sammy’s at Mission Valley has Iron City on tap. At least it did recently.

You’re a more recent export than I – we moved here before I started grade school, and Mom had Isley’s BBQ Sauce shipped down. Or maybe she bought it while we were visiting over the summer. All I know is, I want some, and soon. Been a while since I’ve been up, and it would be nice to see my family up there again….
