Saturday Morning

So far the lawn has been mowed, the Pontiac has been re-fueled (as long as I’m getting gas for the mower…), and lunch has been consumed.

Need to do the groceries, and then I’m free to play for the remainder of the weekend. Boo-ya!

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Sports cars like to drink, so does my SUV (though nowhere near as bad as a Hummer or Blazer) so I use this site to find the cheapest local gas stations:

Funny, its usually stations on S. Saunders by SAMS or down Garner way that are cheaper but today it was $1.68 up on Capital. Stations a block or more away were at least a dime more. Of course there was a little wait but I remember the big crisis of ’73 and it hasn’t been anywhere near that bad since ’73 regardless of what some may think.

The only drawback is that it’s at least 30-45 mins one way to get back out to Raleigh for me. Sure, this is great for workdays, but really won’t help on weekends. Admittedly, I could add the pittsboro stations to the list, but still…
