Tattoo concept of the week : Fire, Water, Air and Earth icons/symbols on my fingers. Position Fire on my middle finger so I can “flame” people while driving. And while I’m on the phone.

And whenever I feel like it.

Fire and Water are easy. Air not too bad. Still trying to figure out what to do for Earth.

Just remember, it’s [Nothing Personal] (Props to AppleGeeks. I f’ing love this image)

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

yikes. the ink in hand tattoos bleeds very easily and gets very fuzzy/faded, since you shed hand/foot skin far more often than any other. i’m not even sure most places in nc can/will do tattoos on hands or feet…?

so my plans for ‘STFU’ on my right knuckles is a bad idea?

I would love to make this my wallpaper at work, but I’m afraid they might use that as grounds for my commitment.

I actually had asked Christy about it when i was thinking of doing a duplicate of my original wedding band. Sides & palm get a lot of wear and don’t last long.

Backs of hands and fingers last a bit longer. Same with feet. You just have to take a little extra care of them. I think Christy has both her feet tattooed, so I trust her information :)

Yeah, that’s a good one. I was using as my background (on the PROJECTOR) when I was teaching a class earlier today. I shoudl ahve used that one instead.

And I forgot a9so I reply to myself, intelegent, no?) – had her foot and shin done last month, so Ray in Durham will do foot tattoos as well….

hmmm…i dunno. i’ve never seen a finger (ring or otherwise) tat that didn’t look all gross and blurry…and i’ve seen a damn good many! (maybe 1 a week at work–?)

and my hippy roommate in college–who never wore socks or real shoes, and who applied sunscreen religiously had a tat on the top of her foot that was pretty for like…about 6 months. now it looks like a blob of ink. it’s very sad.

i’d just try to curb the addiction to other parts is all i’m saying. ;) although i think your idea is neato. :)
