Waaa! Family events will prevent me from going to AZ until mid-afternoon. Bummerific. OTOH, I’ll probably get to see a *LOT* more costumes this year than I did last.

Need to remember to get a t-shirt for with Ms. Sakamoto’s autograph if I can. Dunno if I’ll be on time to meet her or not, though.

Right. I should start getting ready for the family events of the weekend. Bleck.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Since I didn’t figure out ‘AZ’ right away, “Ms. Sakamoto” just made me think of “She Blinded Me With Science.”

As a quasi-sponsor, I’ve got a 3 day pass. I went last night, and it was a pretty interesting layout. Since I only know of the event from seeing the folks on my team take their vacation days to work the show, it was nice to put a face with a name you might say.

It seemed like I was the only one -without- a costume. Short skirts, open tops, and knee high black PVC high heel boots were a popular theme.

Luckily, I had my “geek.” t-shirt on so I wasn’t that out of place.

Yeah Friday is the “slow” day, as it were. Today was th eactual costume contest, so things were in full swing when I got there.

Need to work on holding the video camera steady when i walk….but there will be some screen caps later on *grin*
