or another way to go at it…

Well, looks like we need a new lawnmower. Renee wants a riding mower, while I prefer push mowers.

I can see this one coming….

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

How often does she mow the lawn?

Experience dictates that even if you have a riding mower a push mower is still needed, or at least a weed wacker. I can’t mow my lawn with just the riding mower, but I will not mow an acre with a push mower….

I have no problem using the push mower to do more than an acre. Of course, since about the only *REAL* exersize I get on weekends is the mowing, it’s better for me anyway.

But it does take about 2 hours to mow the lawn with the push mower. Sometimes 3 depending on what needs to be done….

  4. alchemist says:

Not at all since the chain on the self-propel portion of the mower broke. And she can’t start this one by herself anyway…

We just bought an electric one and it is fantastic.
Not very expensive, low maintenance, quiet, easy to start.

I’d love to get an elecrtic mower, but to be honest, I don’t think it’ll reach the field out front…

    …unless they make 300yard extention cords….
