So Renee just got a call at home from the school. Apparently Ray is being uncooperative today, has told his teacher that he doesn’t have to listen to her, and then threw a temper tantrum. So she’s gone to school to get him, and he’s in the doghouse.

It’s probably part lack of sleep, but we also notice that his behavior certainly has gone downhill since he started riding the bus to school in the mornings. As much as we hate to do it, Renee may have to start driving him to/from school again. Then again, if that’s what it takes, that’s what it takes.

Of course, I’m sure my recent work schedule isn’t helping. *sigh*

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

You would be amazed the horrible things kids learn on the bus. Sixth grade was the first time I had to ride a bus since my dad got the brilliant idea that public school and riding the bus would be good for me. I came home and promptly asked him what “Shit”, “Damn”, and “Fuck” meant. Call me sheltered but I was literally clueless. I also got stabbed by a horrid creature who used a pencil and decided it would look good embedded in my leg. Buses are horrible. I hope Drue never ever has to ride on one.

I hated having to ride the bus when I was a kid.
It was traumatizing. The bus driver was a bitch from hell, and it was full of “bus bullies”.
Hated it so much, I started walking home instead.
Still can’t ride busses without massive anxiety.

Just read the comment from fractalmind.
Strangely enough I too was stabbed with a pencil while riding the bus.
I can still see a little dark spot on my palm (I think they call that a defensive wound) where the lead went in.
    Busses bad.
