Hump day!

Not that that’s happening this week. Catch up :
– Sunday was OK. Spent several hours doing the last lawn maintenance for the year (I hope). Probably should re-seed and fertilize, but I’m lazy.
– Monday took a half day for Ray’s first assessment conference at school. He’s doing well adjusting to real school, and tests at normal/above normal.
– Monday night went to bed too late. Jake got sick at about 2:30am. After cleanup, dog maintenance, and such, got back to bed at 3:30-ish
– Tuesday morning drove Ray to school, then me to work. Felt like ass. Ended up leaving early.
– Tuesday after I got home, I slept for about an hour. Then handled Ray’s homework, dozed through the rest of the evening, and then tried to pass out by 9:30 or so.
– Jacob was *HAPPY* and kept coming into the bedroom to point out that daddy had eyes, a mouth, a nose, and ears. Was really cute except he has to touch everything, and the last thing you need is tiny cold fingers on your lips and a 2-year-old saying “mou!” at the top of his lungs when you’re trying to peacefully pass out.
– Threw up around 10:30. Felt much better.
– passed out around 11, woke up by dog at the normal time, passed back out, up for work by 6:30
– Notice the absence of food? Finally ate some toast w/PB at about 7am. First solid food since before I came home.

Jake is still not 100%, I’m not 100%, Ray is probably 100%, and Renee probably won’t get sick. *sigh*

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Glad to hear you at least went home. I bet the hour of sleep after that helped a lot.

Bram is at that same stage of labeling everything too. Like if we’re eating dinner he’ll point out, “Mommy’s chair. Daddy’s chair. My chair” etc… It’s cute (unless, like you say, you’re trying to get some sleep and get well). We still need to have you guys over some time (in our ongoing effort to get Bram exposed to more kids his age). What’s your schedule look like for, say, the next six months or so? ;-)
