This and that

I’ve been slack, so here’s an update :
– Work week was normal. Not very exciting by any stretch
– Schedule thing seems to be going well
– Donuts with Dad at Ray’s School on Friday was a blast
– putting Genaro on a spare partition for HW tinkering purposes. I’ll probably replace it with Debian later, but I want to try Gentoo for a bit. It should be done compiling X later today, and I should be done with all my core tools by tomorrow night, I think.
– kernel 2.6.0-test7 is cool, but DRI is still borked for me (hence Gentoo)
– Hockey Season Opens tonight!
– My sister had her baby – I am now the proud uncle of Catherine Elizabeth Price! The first new girl in the family in 20-odd years.
– Finally met in the flesh
– Also saw
for the first time in months. All the hard work is paying off – you need to post some more recent pictures, so people can see what a fantastic job you’ve done.

Anyway, that’s the update. Almost time to go shopping and then a B-Day party with Ray, before meeting day for the game.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

I simply CAN’T WAIT for tonight’s game. I have a good feeling about this season.

We didn’t get season tickets though, since Tripp told us he never uses the free passes they give him, Jim Cain said he’s only going to use about half of his and will sell us any we want (and you KNOW how sweet those seats are!), and the sales guys are so desperate they’re throwing in things like Club Level passes and such just to get us girls to buy a few now and then. I’ll be better off, without paying $5K again. That hurt too much to try again.

Look for us in the Club Bar or at The Deck, and say hi!

My seats are under The Deck (113), so I’ll keep an eye out. I’ll have my usual Red Hat cap and Weekes Jersey on – in case you see me before I see you *grin*

You know you suck for knowing Tripp and Cain, right? I figured I’d throw that in….

Oh, and we’re due a lunch.
