Quarter is over. The plan for the next quarter department re-arrange looks to be an interesting one.

Finally managed to scrounge up two laptops at work – one for me and one for Jenny. Crap tecras, but usable for our purposes. I’ll have it installed with the last beta on Monday, ready for my trip to DC on the 9th. I have to figure out how to auto-invoke the VPN, but that’s not too big an issue. I also need a wireless card for the house.

Oh, yeah – I’m going to DC a week form Sunday. Sales training. it also seems on of the DC Go clubs meets on Monday nights, so I might see about dropping in and picking up a game. I need some more face-to-face games.

FYI – thr AGA lists 4 go clubs in Chicago alone. Just and FYI *grin*

To do over the weekend :
– Relax
– Play with boys
– swap cases on Renee’s PC
– Buy more ERB Barsoom and Tarzan Novels
– Buy Spin Selling
– Eat BBQ in some massive quantity
– pick up Stephenson’s Zodiac
– Play Go
– maybe pick up Wireless LAN card for laptop, Ray’s machine.
– build Ray’s Machine

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

You want to teach me Go when you are up in my area next week? I’ve tried learning it, but I’m missing some of the concepts, like capturing area…
