Going through the section on JList (http://www.jlist.com) called “Wacky Stuff” and I see an Onigiri maker. I see lots of Onigiri makers.

I’ve been wanting Onigiri for a while (since we left NYC) but no local joints I know of make it. Well, one place I know of in Cary used to, but you had to order take out, and then, I suspect, you better be speaking the language. I dunno if they still do or not, but…

I still want some Onigiri. Maybe I can make it as a project with Ray tomorrow. If I have what it takes…. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait for the weekend. Time to break out the rice steamer!

JList also has a “Hen na gaijin” T-Shirt I want, and a set of green tombo Chopsticks someone on my friend list should probably have. If I have enough $$ to order the T-Shirt someday, I’ll get you the chopsticks. And maybe a pair or two for our house. *grin*

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Where is Waraji? I can always try and see….

I’ve checked Sushi Tsune, Sushi Thai, Kurana, and the place in Crossroads whose name I can never remember.

Note the wording, though – “place that I know of” – I sure don’t know *ALL* the Japanese/Sushi places in the area…..
