Saw the MuchMusic thing on No Doubt last night. They really are pretty down to earth as a band, and the boys are a little freaky. Very cool. Then caught the “MTV’s Most Controversial Videos” special on M2. They played the videos that had been previously banned or edited or pulled, including the original unedited version of NIN;s “Closer” (with the “deleted scenes” restored. A *MUCH* stranger video that way, but cool), “Smack My bitch up” (Damn), “Justify Your Love” (which was played once then banned from MTV), and a bunch of others that pushed the edges a little too far.
Some were just freaky (“The bad touch” by the Bloodhound Gang), others chilling (Madonna’s “How it feels for a girl” video), and some containing restored scenes (“Jeremy” by Pearl Jam and the previously mentioned “Closer”).
All in all OK. I should be writing code for a project or two, or trying to finish FFX, but I’m just not motivated right now for some reason….
Oh well, more coffee, while the updates to Red Hat SkipJack (7.2.93) download….
I really liked that Robbie williams video with him pulling off his skin and muscle.. Sweeet.
That was disturbingly nifty. The CGI was awsome on it.
