Got in late from trilug. Had a good time talking to and after trilug last night. in the parking lot, as usual.

Came in, Renee was still up, and it was like, 11:30. Uh-oh. She wasn’t mad, though. Found a bug report in my email, read it, found it lacking in detail, and responded with a request for more detail. Was probably a lot bitchier than I should have been, but the person should know better.

Crawled into bed at 12:30.

Was woken up by ray at 2:30. He had to go potty. Helped him out, and then made sure he got back into bed. Not 3 minutes later heard the sound all parent’s fear in the middle of the night – the sound of vomit. So, got up *FAST* and got that taken care of. He must have eaten something that disagreed with him, ’cause he’s fin this morning. Didn’t save his sheets, though, and he ended up sleeping on the couch. By the time that was done, it was 3:30. you would think I could pass out by then, but *NO*. Now my gut has to act up. A little pepto, and I’m fixed and pass out.

5:30. Jacob is up and happy. I’m not. that’s all I remember until about 8 when renee got me up. She wanted a shower, and I’ve got to catch up….

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Umm… and we are thinking of voluntarily starting up one of these family things?

Well, yeah. But today was the exception, if you’ll notice, and not the rule *grin*. 99% of the time, it’s great – you only hear about the 1% of things I bitch about….

  3. ryeth says:

Yeah, but 3 am vomit runs… even if it’s only 1% of the time… ;)

You deal with it. The first time the bay get sick you freak, and after that, it gets easier *grin*

At least I have the kind of job where if I have to sleep late, it’s no big thing…for now.
