• Lunch with the pre-schoolers Thursday was kind of cool. it was nice to hang out with new adults, y’know? And anyway, the monkey behaves better in a crowd of other kids. Go figure.
  • Finished taxes Thursday night, and submitted them for e-file. Crashed.
  • Staff Meeting Friday. Also did some work, but nothing earth shattering. I hate IBM DB2 when it’s not working right. Although I love the fact that it takes 10 less hours to get working than Oracle 9i.
  • Came home, found a reject notice from the IRS. Seems I mistyped a SSN somewhere. Fixed that and resubmitted taxes. Played some FFX. Crashed
  • Saturday was spent reading The Diamond Age, looking at getting a TRS-80 Model 1 Emulator up & running, playing outside with Ray, doing some yard work, playing a little FFX, and making dinner. Then I crashed.
  • Today looks to be more of the same, except we’ll go to Mom & Dad’s for dinner, and Ray can play with someone else for a change.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
