Got home after an OK day at work. I had a clear plan as to what I was making for dinner – I had a loaf of Italian round bread, and some wine, and I knew we had spaghetti sauce and noodles in the pantry.
Wrong. No sauce, few spaghetti noodles.
Three cans of diced & spiced tomatos later (I overbought when I made the Chili), along with some pickled garlic, some oregano, my secret herbs & garlic and a hand blender, I had sauce. A mixed bag of “fun shapes” noodles, and we’re doing it in style.
Slice & steam carrots and parsnips, and it’s a meal. In under 30 mins.
Am I good, or what?
