What a world, what a world.

Got up at 7, checked email, checked LJ
Ray got up at 7:30, gave him breakfast, and got him set up for his morning at home
Renee & Jacob got up at 8, which is about the time I went for my shower
Medicated Damien after all that, made sure he had food & water
Left around 9, which is early for me.
Got to work by 9:45, wrestled with MySQL, PHP, and such until lunch
Pickup up the Buckaroo Bonsai SE DVD, the FF Movie DVD, and Capcom Vs. SNK for the PS2.
Got my hair cut, then take-out form my favorite Philly Steak place in Durham.

Got back to work and found out the customer wanted some not-so-insignificant changes, and that the dev manager thinks it can be done in 2 hours.
Rolled up sleeves, wrote email that we’d be cutting it *WAY* close, I expected that it would take 3-5 hours, and went to figuring out how to adjust the code and DB without having to re-write half of it.
Came home. Passed nasty accident. Said prayer to whoever that everyone be OK. Got back by 6.
Ray was a wild child, Jacob was fussy, The house was a wreak.
At least I didn’t have to cook.
Ate, cleaned the dishes, picked up around the house, fed Damien, still had time to watch Dexter & PPG with Ray.
Had to put Ray in time out four times before his teeth were brushed
Read him his story, put him to bed.
Gave Damien his medicine, came to computer, checked email, caught up on LJ.

Tomorrow looks to be worse. Damien has his check up, Renee needs to go to the Unemployment Office, and I have code to write by Monday.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

I hope things get better for you. If it’s any help, when I had problems with Audrey learning how to brush her teeth, I bought a little annoying star thing that sang about brushing teeth. The main purpose of it was to have kids brush until the song was over. But just having a toy there while she brushed kept her going back to brush over and over. It’s worn off now, but she’s in the habit and I don’t really need to worry about it anymore. You might want to consider something like that. It could really be anything…a new fancy toothbrush, a different “cooler” toothpaste, a dumb hunk of plastic that sings an annoying song…

He’s just having one of those weeks, I’m sure. he was *REALLY* good about tooth brushing for the past month, and this weke he’s fighting it again. It’ll pass, eventually. It’s just tough, you know?
