UPS Says’ Adverse Weather Conditions Delay” for my Visor Edge. but it’s in CH, so I may call them about a pickup at their depot….

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Adverse weather conditions my foot. I am not happy. I was supposed to have something delivered to me yesterday. I think that’s so bull. I’ve been out driving and doing things around Durham and Raleigh and Chapel Hill for 4 days.

I reloaded the page since it might have been in cache and it said it was out for delivery today at 5:15am.

If its in a location waiting for delivery, it’s on a truck. You can’t pick it up (in other words, impossible to find.) Also UPS doesn’t allow pick ups until after at least one delivery attempt has been made. I went through all this with an outfit I really wanted for a party. It arrived to the Raleigh hub on the day of the party – but not to my house. I tried all I could to get it, but not dice! I was so mad… Hopefully your package will show up nice and early today.
