Spent today doing odd task around the house – principle among them cleaning out the computer room. Since Renee has moved her desk upstairs, I am beginning to turn this into a geek study. But I need more X10 control modules for it to be perfect. I’ll post photos when I’m done.

I still need some shelves and a coat rack, though. And Renee needs a filing cabinet for her Avon stuff. So a trip to Wal*Mart or OfficeMax is in order, probably after work tomorrow.

I’ve also re-enabled GPG signing on my email accounts, set up gpg on Renee’s Win98 machine, read more of Cryptonomicon, and folded all the laundry. Still to do :

  • set up rsync to keep darkcanvas.com up to date from the house, since that makes a lot more sense than cvs triggers
  • – rip a copy of a CD I need to return to (that I found in all the stuff I was cleaning out)
  • more laundry!
  • maybe play some Sheep Raider on the PSX.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
