Well, I’;m now debating – Visor Neo or Visor Edge? (I’d get a Platinum, but the Platinum is the exact same as the Neo, but has a leather case).

The biggest difference? The Edge comes with LiIon batteries (no more AAA’s for my handheld!), is half the thickness. But the springboard slot is a snap-on addition.

The Neo is about the same size as my Palm IIIxe (may it rest in peace) and fits in my existing leather pilot case from Franklin Covey.

The edge is $50 more

Oh, and the guy I talked to in the Handheld department at Best Buy yesterday said to try the return again in a few days – it all depends on who is working at the time. I’ll have to live without for the weekend, I guess….although if I order online it’ll still be a week or two before I get the replacement anyway…

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

I’d like the metal bodied one that has 16mb’s of RAM, but hell I”m using a palm III, so anything will have more space.

Check the handspring site, they have some on sale right now.

Is that the one you got from me? If so. Wow. I found some old backup files just the other day.

Yup, that’s the one. It’s still around and doing well. :)
