In the freezer section of a grocery store – if nothing else, try Wellspring or Fresh Market
I haven’t thought about rhubarb pie in a long time… mmmm… (druel)
My Harris Teeter has in it the Produce section. Stalky looking with a reddish tint? If that’s it, they have it.
Renee’s aunt in Michigan grows her own, and I expect some when they visit in the fall. That’s also when we get the fresh cherries and blueberries.
Renee makes a wicked Rhubarb pie, but this is for a rhubarb glazed pork roast…
That’s the stuff, but your Harris Teeter is practially on the other side of the planet from me…
Only if I’m desperate, because to go to eithe rplace, i ahve to go to cary. Ewww.
I think you can get it canned as well, so you might try with the canned fruits
I don’t know about a rhubarb glaze… may not be my thing. But, if you some how run into an excess of rhubarb pie sometime – I’ll be a dutiful friend & offer help out ;)
Deal. We never do finish pies hereabouts anyway.
Well, you know how to find me (grin)
One well placed journal entry with directions could earn you a Ryeth on your doorstep, fork in hand ;)
hehehe.
“Kevin, there’s a strange woman at the door, with a fork in her hand…”
“Oh, that’s just Ryeth – she’s here for leftovers.”
