Yesterday was typical. Got up, went to work, wrote some code, came home, had dinner. Distracted Ray into bath, TV & playtime, then bed.

Watched the Star Trek version of Celebrity Weakest Link. Shatner gets better with age, even if he isn’t the best actor in the five series to date.

Went to bed around 11:30, couldn’t sleep, got up at 12:45. Ray was crying, needed some cold meds. I crawled back into bed, only to be woken up half an hour later because he wanted his mommy. The Jacob was up at 3-something, and again at 6:30 when I decided trying to sleep any more was futile.

And now it’s a typical work-at-home Tuesday. Lots of distractions, including what feels like an impending head cold, ISDN slowdowns, and what looks like a flaw in the IBM JVM.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

If you think Shatner’s better, you must have missed the travesty that was Iron Chef USA.
