I joke about who hit the Mute button on my remote!

There is obviously something wrong with my voice, since my lips are moving, but but Ray keeps not hearing anything.

And the new one won’t have a “listen to daddy” option either.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

Sometimes I can talk for hours and noone hears a word I say. we are a lamp post, there to guide and light. Background music to their life. No one notices we are there until we are burnt out!

So, being a mom to a Tween.. I give you this to ponder about..

We spent the first 2 years of our childs life teaching them to talk and stand up.
We spend the next 17 yelling at them to sit down and shut up!
We tell them to listen to us carefully for the first 5 years.. and then the next 14 telling them to stay out of our business, get off the phone when we are talking and to wait to talk to us, we are busy!

Is it really the kids fault??
