We went out last night, to one of the neighbor’s houses. I like the neighbors here – most of them are under 60, unlike the old neighborhood, where most of them were over 70.
Anyway, we had a good time, then Ray wanted to come home. So, somehwre around 9:30, we walked home and put him to bed. What to do for te next 2 1/2 hours?
Co-op Unreal Gold, maybe?
We didn’t plan on beiing up until the ball dropped, but it is a lot of fun.
I’ve also been trying ot get the source for Aleph One for Linux to compile on my laptop. The Windows version works OK, but the binary RPM won’t install on my system. So off to source, but it’s choking on an XML parse routine. probably a library I need to update that’s not documented in their README.
Also in game news, I’ve go the segaCD hooked up to one of the TV inputs on my Voodoo3 3500/TV – which means I can play the old sega games while waiting for downloads and compiles. Very cool. I also found some CDROM sites for SEGA CD Games, which will let me try some out before I hunt down and buy originals. If I can find them. Any helpful links/store names would be apreciated.
Anyway, Happy Y2K+1 Everyone!
