Playlist and Mix for 2013-10-13

You can tell I’m starting to get the Halloween show into my head, since the first half this week is somewhat vampire themed. The thing is, there’s a lot of vampire themed music, and frankly sorting out the good from the bad can be a bit of a chore. Still, I like how this one came out, and the Bela Lugosi’s Dead cover is one of my favorites.

Artist – Album – Title
The Cult – Rain – Life Less Lived: The Gothic Box
Concrete Blonde – Bloodletting (The Vampire Song) – Bloodletting
The Electric Hellfire Club – Bela Lugosi’s Dead – The Passion of Covers – a Tribute to Bauhaus
G Tom Mac – Cry Little Sister (Original Lost Boys Film Version) – Thou Shalt Not Fall
Belle Morte – Fall No More – Music From The Succubus Club: Vampire The Masquerade
Ad·ver·sary – Friends of Father – Bone Music
J. Grant – Sisyphus – (no album)
AWOLNATION – Sail – Megalithic Symphony
Pantera – Cowboys From Hell – Cowboys From Hell
KMFDM – Go To Hell (Fuck MTV Mix) – Naive+Hell to Go

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
