Playlist and Mix for 2012-02-05

I had a VERY rough week, and this playlist shows it. I don’t know about you, but when I’m having “one of those weeks” I load up on the angry music and just RAGE. So that’s what you get for a good chunk of this week’s show.

And yeah, that includes a lot of Maynard, because I REALLY dig me some Maynard when I’m having a bad week.

Listening to it as it aired on Dark Mother Radio, I also realized several of the songs are also a counterpoint to the over-hyped commercial event that was going on at the same time. This was not intentional, but I will say it was appropriate under the circumstances.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.

  1. Erik says:

Why don’t you make your music mixes available as a podcast and throw it on Itunes or Zune?

@Erik Habit, mostly, and the fact that I’m still unsure about how the royalties are being handled for all this, so I don’t want to invite trouble by listing on iTunes or Zune. It *IS* a podcast, and you can subscribe to the RSS feed and have it show up in your favorite podcast player with the media file ready to go.
