Playlist and Mix for 2011-10-30

So I have a confession – this mix did *NOT* come out as I had planned. And after a couple of days trying to make it just right, I finally threw up my hands and sent off what you got Sunday night. I’m not unhappy with it, just disappointed.[1]

I hope you enjoyed it, even if I saw every flaw in it.[2]

Song – Artist – Album
This Is Halloween – Marilyn Manson – Nightmare Revisited
Halloween Theme – The Electric Hellfire Club – The Black Bible
Aenima – Tool – Aenima
Angel – :Wumpscut: – The Black Bible
Sail – AWOLNATION – Megalithic Symphony (Explicit)
Bela Lugosi’s Dead – Bauhaus – Vampire Themes
Monster:Murder:Kill – Combichrist – Making Monsters [Explicit]
Toccata And Fugue In D Minor (Organ) – Bach – The Best Of Bach
Clubbed to death – Rob D – The Matrix
Ghosts n Stuff (feat. Rob Swire) – Deadmau5 – For Lack of A Better Name
When I’m Sleeping – Elva – When I’m Sleeping (Single)
The Raven – Christopher Walken – Closed On Account Of Rabies – Poems And Tales Of Edgar Allan Poe

Next week : new Puscifer, new Tom Waits, and more!

[1] I really, really, REALLY wanted to cut up The Raven and have it as V/O breaks between sections of the mix. It just didn’t work out. *grump*
[2] OK, the mix from Bach to Rob D was AWFUL. The mix from Deadmau5 to Elva made up for it as that was dead on.

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
