Playlist and Mix for 2011-05-22

Adam had a surprise interview that was simulcast live on the stream, so we got pre-empted last week. BUT! We ran it this week, and I squandered my buffer to set up the new site. C’est la vie.

Otherwise, It was another fine week of music, and I hope you enjoyed it if you were listening “live.” If not, here is what you can expect in the mix.

Escala – Clubbed to Death
Burns, Steve – Mighty Little Man
The Razor Skyline – This City Never Sleeps[1]
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds – Tupelo
The Cure – 10:15 Saturday Night
echo and the bunnymen – lips like sugar
Love & Rockets – So Alive
Rob Zombie – Brick House 2003 [Explicit][2]
Kittie – In Winter
Velvet Revolver – Slither
Pearl Jam – Do The Evolution
J. Grant – Sisyphus[3]

As always, thanks to Badger, Kali, Adam, and the whole No Agenda community.

Someday I’ll blog my “process” for doing the show and developing the playlists. I’m sure a lot of you can help me streamline the process. *grin*

[1] Check them out at – they’re awesome.
[2] Request from Dave
[3] The “unofficial” theme song for J’s new book Velan the Reticent. Go get this, read it, love it.

Note: Updated to fix the title of J’s book. I’ve called it “the Conqueror” twice now in the last 24 hours. Whoops….

About Kevin Sonney

Kevin Sonney - who, contrary to popular opinion was NOT raised by wolves - grew up in central North Carolina. He fell into the technology field by accident in 1991, when he gave up the wild and crazy lifestyle of an on-air AM radio DJ to become a mundane technical support monkey. The technology industry has never really recovered from this. Kevin has worked for such names as IBM, Red Hat, webslingerZ, and Lulu Technologies (we won't mention the ones that didn't survive the experience). He currently works as a Linux Administrator for Apptio. In his spare time he rescues stray animals and plays video games with his two sons. His wife, we're sad to say, helps him get past the really hard bits. Kevin is still not very mundane, he just got better at hiding it.
